Today, I want to address some recent developments and provide clarity about the hurdles we’ve encountered on the journey of bringing new, innovative content to life. While our vision remains intact, not everything has gone according to plan, and I owe you all a thorough explanation.
First and foremost, I want to touch on the voiceover project that was intended to complement our work. As some of you may know, voice acting is an intricate art form, requiring a precise blend of timing, tone, and emotional depth. Unfortunately, one of the voice actresses involved in this endeavor faced significant challenges in delivering the dialogue as envisioned. While her efforts were appreciated, it became evident that this role wasn’t the right fit for her particular strengths, which slowed our progress. These things happen in creative projects, and no blame is placed—it’s simply a matter of finding the right person for the job.
To ensure the project’s quality and consistency, I decided to bring on a new voice actress to step into the role. While this was a necessary step forward, it also meant that all previously recorded lines needed to be revisited, re-recorded, and carefully integrated back into the project. This process, while crucial for maintaining the integrity of the work, introduced additional delays. I regret to say that despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to meet the timeline we initially envisioned for this phase of the project.
In my search for solutions, I even explored some AI voice options, hoping to bridge the gap quickly and effectively. However, while the technology shows promise, it is still in its infancy and lacks the nuanced direction required to convey the tone, emotion, and depth this project demands. Voice acting, after all, is as much about the humanity behind the words as the words themselves. As such, we’ve decided to hold off on this aspect of the project until we can deliver something that meets our standards and, most importantly, honors your expectations.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the wait. Please know that these decisions were made with the sole purpose of ensuring the final product is as polished and impactful as it can be. I deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these obstacles.
In brighter news, I’m thrilled to share that the next part of Fragments of Us is ready and will be published today! This installment marks the penultimate chapter in this arc, with the concluding chapter expected to arrive in december. After that, we’ll be venturing into uncharted territory, with new storylines and surprises waiting to unfold.
